With Walk for Homelessness (WFH) postponed until 2026, the first leg of this journey takes a new form. This year, my two faithful companions, Loki and Odin, and I will set out on a 2,000-mile thru-hike along the Appalachian Trail.
This trek serves multiple purposes:
Preparing for WFH 2026 – Testing the endurance, resilience, and well-being of both myself and my dogs in a long-distance journey.
Reconnecting with nature – Finding my rhythm and embracing the lessons that only the wilderness can teach.
Writing my long-awaited book – LOKIM: Love Obedience Kindness in Motion will chronicle my life’s journey, the truths of living on life’s terms, and the many miles that have shaped who I am today.
This first leg is more than a walk—it’s a journey back to the core of what matters. It’s about understanding the road ahead before we take the next step toward raising awareness for homelessness in 2026.
Follow along as we embrace the challenge, the adventure, and the purpose that this journey will bring
